What is Peripheral Neuropathy?
Peripheral Neuropathy is damage to peripheral nerve fibers. Healthy nerve fibers have a protective coating much like an electrical wires coating. Neuropathy results from this coating dissipating and causing these nerve fibers to be exposed. When these nerve fibers become exposed it leads to numbness and pain. The pain can feel like walking on needles or having a burning-like feeling.
What Causes Neuropathy?
- Diabetes is the leading cause. About 70% of people with diabetes have mild to severe Neuropathy.
- Nerve damage to the back can trigger Neuropathy.
- Most Neuropathy is caused by lack of blood flow which decreases the supply of oxygen to the peripheral nerves and causes damage to the nerves and the nerve’s protective coating.
- Cancer survivors can experience post-chemo neuropathy.
How does WaveTech’s Acoustical Wave Therapy heal Peripheral Neuropathy?
By treating with Acoustical Waves or Soft Waves the blood vessels will increase in size and create open pathways for blood flow. These soft waves can cause blocked vessels to open and receive blood flow. The increased blood flow allows oxygen to the peripheral nerves and results in health and healing. In addition, the WaveTech treatment signals to the brain there is trauma in this area. The brain, as it has all our lives, signal for transmitter to deliver a constant cascading flow of Stem Cells (healing cells) to the diseased area. The combination of delivering oxygen and driving Stem Cells to the area can actually cause nerve fiber to rejuvenate and grow healthy nerve fibers. Patients will feel almost immediate relief, although, complete healing will take 2 to 3 weeks after the second treatment to the diseased foot.
